Re: Create a note referencing a Candidate using REST API

Funny, I was just dealing with this again. Had to pull existing notes to see this, but one thing that tripped me up was the TargetEntityName, which apparently follows the following rules: TargetEntityName values: So for a Candidate it should be set to User For ClientContact it should be ClientContac...

Re: Job Listings From My Site To BullHorn - Step 1

Hi, I removed the Client ID/Secret just for security puroses, without a username/password it's not particularly vital, but still, better safe than sorry. Anyways, that call is the second step in getting Logged in. Please look into the Getting started guide for that. After you have logged in (have yo...

Re: OAuth - Getting user details after successful login

Yes, Soap provides the userID. In either, since you would have the username (to either login via rest or startsession with soap), you would be able to do a query on CorporateUser where the username equals that and that would provide for the id number if you need for details of the user.

Re: last updated field for candidates / jobs / clients

I would use a subscription/events Subscribing gives you a queue of events that you can pull with the eventsgetevents command. That way, on your nightly run you can work through all the events on that queue. The events will just be a message that something changed, so it'll say, job 19 was updated an...

Re: Opening Bullhorn Contact/Candidate Screen directly

So you might be able to get away with something like the following: https://cls2.bullhornstaffing.com/BullhornStaffing/UserProfile.cfm?BH___ENCR=TRUE&USERRESULTSUUID=&PROFILETYPE=Candidate&NOLOGO=TRUE&userID=XXXXX&view=Overview That assumes the client is on cls2, with a candidate of id XXXXX https:/...

Ah, gotcha, sorry, misunderstood. Yes, I believe you're correct, I don't see a way to run the query for those values specifically.

Re: JobOrder and Location search

Hi, There is an address complex type on the JobOrder itself that stores the state, zip, etc in it (though country is a id tag that maps nowhere api visible). Given that, you could query off it; so you could have a where such as : address.state = 'Hampshire' Not aware of any additional geo-searching ...

Re: Strange behavior on search after Candidate creation.

When you say Search, are you talking about within the system, or are you searching with another Rest call?

Inside the system, I'm pretty sure that it's going off the name field, so if that does not match your first/last name that could be the cause.

Re: Adding a candidate

In the json that you provided, you're setting the ID and dateadded field. If you're generating a new record, you shouldn't be specifying them. The result will have the newly generated id for you and the system will set the date Added. I was able to sucessfully add the record by taking those values o...

Re: Coalesce function in Order By of query operation

Hi, Looks like you can run it, but don't forget that when you evaulate the expression, it's returning the value of the expression. So you're not so much returning 'customtext9' or 'title', but rather whatever string you have in customtext9 or title, such as 'random text' or 'programmer' If you can g...

Re: How to remove duplicate results?

Hi Virendra, Don't have an example in C# handy, but in Java when you have created the DtoQuery object, you should have a command to setDistinct(true) so: DtoQuery query = new DtoQuery(); query.setDistinct(true); In general, it shouldn't matter if a phrase appears more than once in a value since the ...

Re: What is the grammar of the JobPositionSeeker?

So I answered via teh support ticket, but wanted to post a few mappings. The full dtd is not available as I could find, but there are some: For the StructuredResume entity: "ContactInfo.PersonName.GivenName" => firstName "ContactInfo.PersonName.FamilyName" => lastName "ContactInfo.PersonName.MiddleN...
