Re: Update Candidate no longer working

So the Candidate ID is indeed still required for updates. The change that was made that appears to have fixed the problem is to explicitly set the Content-Type to "Application/JSON". Once that was done the update ran with no errors. This must have been a validation check that was added to Bullhorn b...

Re: Update Candidate no longer working

I'd post the JSON but it is full of PII about some random candidate. It is valid JSON as assembled by PHP.

Re: Update Candidate no longer working

{ ["errorMessage"]=> string(35) "No valid input data found to parse." ["errorMessageKey"]=> string(21) "errors.noInputToParse" } The only change between the two errors was the removal of the candidate ID. It makes sense that something that major would not change without a lot of noise here and in t...

Update Candidate no longer working

Hello Bullhorn, It's been a long time but I am responding to a request from an old client to get their Bullhorn integration working again. I've got custom PHP code that logs in successfully and submits Candidate information using POST. Up until I looked at the latest docs, the format I used was: htt...

Re: Trouble getting Authorization Code programatically

Curiouser and curiouser. I was able to get a code from the following URI: https://auth-emea.bullhornstaffing.com/oauth/authorize?client_id={CLIENT_ID}&response_type=code&redirect_uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.bullhorn.com&state=random_string&username={USERNAME}&password={PASSWORD}&action=Login once I added i...

Re: Trouble getting Authorization Code programatically

Over the weekend my auth code expired, so the code did what it was programmed to do and tried to get a new auth code programatically. As we seem to have confirmed, that option seems to have been removed and so I needed to log in manually again in order to get a new auth code. Thankfully, after my pr...

Re: Members of a Distribution List

...and a google search reveals that Hotlist is a synonym for Tearsheet, so we're off to the races!

Problem apparently solved.

Re: Candidate CSV via SFTP - Possible?

Hi Will, It sounds possible, and very similar to what I'm doing for another client right now. Once I get him sorted, I'd love to replicate that service and help you out. Reply here or drop me a line (dave at northcreek.ca) and we can set something up. Good luck! Dave North Creek Consulting, Inc. Ono...

Re: Delay in registering a new Client ID?

This has been resolved - thanks to Mick!

The issue was that my IP address needed to be whitelisted - another hoop we need to jump through in order to deliver services to Bullhorn clients who need to use the REST API to extend Bullhorn's capabilities.

Re: Members of a Distribution List

The client has decided to use the recommended 'Hotlist' entity type to export his list of candidates. Is that accessible through the REST API, and is it documented anywhere? I have the BullhornRESTAPI_0_2.pdf file, and the link to the online documentation: http://bullhorn.github.io/rest-api-docs/ent...

Re: Trouble getting Authorization Code programatically

Okay, I'm now able to log in (using the manual step to log in initially, and then storing the auth code I received from that step). The issue was the difference between the automatic login (where I was extracting the code from the data I received via curl in PHP) and the manual login (copy and paste...

Re: Trouble getting Authorization Code programatically

Got some help from support - my client is in the EMEA zone, so I had to add that to the urls (auth-emea and rest-emea) and I was able to get a manual login to the point where I got an authorization code. The next step is to use the code to get an access token using https://auth.bullhornstaffing.com/...

Re: Trouble getting Authorization Code programatically

First issue with this client - I had to get my IP whitelisted with Bullhorn. That will be awkward as we move from my test box to staging, to production, but hopefully it won't take long to add an IP to an account somewhere. Bullhorn Support- is there a way a customer can add their developer's IP add...

Delay in registering a new Client ID?

Hi Bullhorn, I have a client who is trying to set up an integration through the REST API (as seen in my previous posting). I am going through the process that has worked for my other clients to get through the initial registration process to get him a refresh token and through to being logged in. I ...

Re: Trouble getting Authorization Code programatically

Hi people, I've been working on non-Bullhorn projects for the past while, but I'm back at the coal face. It does seem like there have been changes, so I'll post what works as I fight through authorization with a new client here in this thread. I tend to cheat if I can get through manually and steal ...
