Re: REST API Not Re-Entrant?

The access token works only once in the rest login, so what we do now is to refresh the token with every transaction. The rest login returns a rest url and a BhRestToken. The question is whether this url and token are invalidated when another token refresh happens in the meantime? To avoid that inva...

Re: How to get the email of an internal user

Some experimentation reveals that the fieldname to use is simply 'email'. This is missing from the REST API documentation so that should be updated.

How to get the email of an internal user

What is the syntax for getting an internal user's email address? The documentation suggests using the 'externalEmail' field in a CorporateUser query but that return an empty field. The Primary Email field is populated for this user, but not returned. What query to use to get the primary email? Examp...

Re: REST API Not Re-Entrant?

The problem is that we have a cluster of servers so it is hard to centralize the Bullhorn token generation/refresh to exactly one at at time. I am not sure if this is a design flaw or whether I am the only one concerned with this.

Re: How to save a file with a candidate

We are trying to integrate an assessment service with Bullhorn, and to save PDF's of test results in a candidate profile. The PDF is not resume-related.

Re: How to save a file with a candidate

So the posting of the raw file is not an option? Attach the resume file to the candidate To attach the original resume file to the Candidate entity, we call PUT /file/Candidate/{candidateId}/raw. We attach the .doc resume file to the request as a multipart/form attachment; in a browser form, this is...

Re: How to save a file with a candidate

Thanks for the info. Our PDF files contain images only so I guess they won't be uploadable.

Re: How to create a note via the REST API

What we still need is an example of how to create a note for a candidate. The documentation is not complete as to what type each JSON element should have etc. Here is a sample of something that does not work { "commentingPerson":2 ,"candidates" : [4] ,"comments":"This is note" ,"personReference": { ...

How to create a note via the REST API 02409991

The REST API is not totally explicit on how to create a Note. We have to make assumptions since the exact syntax of the REST call is not listed in the REST API reference document. I assumed that the rest call would use: POST to url : https://rest9.bullhornstaffing.com/rest-services/13n5s0/entity/Not...

Re: REST API Not Re-Entrant?

Thank for thinking about this issue. But asking for a new token could happen concurrently (mutiple requests at once) in a multi-user system and what does that do to the token validity?
