Re: Name is not populated while doing in REST api

Hi Ganeshprabhu, Yes you should populate the name field when creating a record. There is not any automaton when adding first and last name that will update the name field when you create the record. This is only done in app. If you leave the name field blank, where you would see the record in Bullho...

Re: Search Total Inconsistent

Hi Ryanpulson,

This can be an indication that Support needs to run some maintenance on the candidate index. Please open a ticket with Bullhorn Support so we can take a look.

Re: Enabling smsOptIn

Hi Kazemi, The field should return in your search if you are including it in the fields parameter. For example, this call: GET/ search/Candidate?query=dateAdded:[20180606050000 TO 20180621045959] &fields=id,name, smsOptIn Returns this { "total": 1, "start": 0, "count": 1, "data": [ { "id": 274077, "n...

Re: 1-Many Field Order

Hi Ryanls, This isn't documented anywhere but from some testing it appears the to-many associations will be ordered by the ID of the associated entity. For example this call /entity/Candidate/3748?fields=categories returns { "data": { "categories": { "total": 3, "data": [ { "id": 2000262, "name": "C...

Re: 03124848: C# and getting the authorization code

Hello, This is Dan with Bullhorn Support. The first time you access REST with a set of credentials you need to accept the terms of service outlined by the Client. I suggest entering that same URL into a web browser in order to accept the Ts&Cs. Please let me know if you are not successful and I can ...

Re: Recruiter Notification When application submitted?

Hello, This is Dan with Bullhorn Support. When a web response is added, Bullhorn's Open Source Career Portal automatically sends a notification email to the user defined in the JobOrder.responseUser field. There is not a way to manually trigger this in REST. If you want to get a user's email, this i...

Re: 02670290: No owner in ClientCorporation

Hi Dezachu, To-many association fields will display like this when you specify all fields on a GET /entity call. If you want to see the values in that field, you need to specify the field like this: GET /entity/ClientCorporation/{id}/owners?fields=*&BhRestToken={token} or GET /entity/ClientCorporati...

Re: 02667964: Unable to access contact and candidate

Hi MKrish, I think you put the Bullhorn error response into your first reply when you meant to put the PUT call and body. I'm looking for something like this but with all the fields you are entering values for: https://rest34.bullhornstaffing.com/rest-services/{corpToken}/entity/Candidate?BhRestToke...

Re: 02667964: Unable to access contact and candidate

Hi Mkrish,

There are a few different things that can potentially cause this, but it is most likely missing or incorrect data in one or more fields. If you can share your PUT call and the JSON body, I can help you find the cause of the error.

Thanks,
Dan

Hi Mccaddona,

The REST API does not support updating field mappings.

Thanks,
Dan

Re: Duplicate Candidates

Hi Marianbuga,

In order to avoid duplicates in successive calls like this you will want to add a sort parameter. You can adjust the end of your search call to be:

&sort=id&count=200&start=0

Re: How to return all entities of type x? - 02309317

Hi Spryce,

This is Dan with Bullhorn Support. The best way to get a list of all the CorporateUsers would be a query such as:

query/CorporateUser?where=enabled=true&fields=id&count=500

This will return all the enabled users.

Thanks,
Dan
