Re: Issue getting data from user with apostrophe

Hi,
Could you give an example of what you are posting? Often times items will post to the parent PL if it is set up that way. Remember to remove the PL key before posting anything.

Re: Update Profiles API and Required Docs

Hi Karen,

Yes, you can add a new req. You need to make sure that you do not include a <userCertificationID> or a <CertificationID> in the post. They let the form know you are performing an update. If you leave them out then you should get an insert.

Re: Contact Emails

Hello Karen, Would something like a candidate search be what you are looking for? http://www.bullhornstaffing.com/BullhornStaffing/API/CandidateSearchAPITest.cfm or a Candidate/Client Profile http://www.bullhornstaffing.com/BullhornStaffing/API/GetProfileAPITest.cfm If these do not give you what you...

Re: Database errors with AddUserProfilesAPI

Hello Koos,

You need to use www.bullhornstaffing.com instead of www.bullhorn.com for the API calls. In addition, that page will not return without a post. There are a lot of required fields to make a post.

Re: Update Profiles API and Required Docs

Hi Karen, I just tried it on our PL and it worked fine. I modified the location, issuedBy and some other fields. I took a closer look and the fields you can change are limited to the following: "location, issuedBy, dateExpiration, dateCertified, boardCertification, licenseNumber, comments, status, l...

Re: is there a candidate edit_date field in an API?

Hi JLenhardt, It is currently "all you can eat", but we do watch the server performance closely. You may want to schedule any automated tasks to run late at night (ex. 3am Eastern time) to get better performance for your tasks and make sure you do not impact your own performance on Bullhorn. J.P.

Re: Using skills parsed from resume to update candidate profile

Hello Olcinc, There is no easy way to get a user-submitted text converted into the skill IDs. You can convert the text into IDs on your end but that might be more work than you were looking for. User text tends to have a lot of exceptions and getting it classified correctly requires some data-cleani...

Re: Update Profiles API and Required Docs

Hi Karen,

Could you give me an example post? Previously there was a certid requirement that prevented docs from being added, but that restriction has been removed. I would like to test a post.

Re: Canidate Capture with Classic ASP

Hello PjPete and Amills5, The skills field takes a list of integers to push into Bullhorn. There is no connector for the names of the skills to show up in the form. You would need to place the list of skills along with the associated IDs in a selector (it would be different for every company). Curre...

Re: Recruiter field in Capture Candidate not populating

Hello Amills, There are a few reasons why you might not see the recruiter on the Candidate. The first is if you send a username and password on the form. In that case then it will use the information for that user (as long as the username and password are correct). The second case is if there is any...

Re: Trying to GET XML returned from GetProfileAPI.cfm

Hi Mike, There are lots of examples in the support forums, but the easiest to start with is the faq: http://supportforums.bullhorn.com/viewtopic.php?t=9 This is a fairly general PHP question, you may want to do a general search on Google for examples using PHP and CURL. They may have some examples a...

Re: POST to UpdateProfileAPI from HTML or PHP

Hello MDrummand, You can see the test page for that API here: http://www.bullhornstaffing.com/BullhornStaffing/API/UpdateProfileAPITest.cfm If you are using php I would suggest using the PHPCURL libraries to make the posts to the api. Look for samples of posting xml packets on these forums and there...

Re: CGI Error

Hi Luis, We have not made a change to that API page since September and have not had reports from support of anyone else having problems with this API. Could you do a test by hand with the information to see if it works? If it does then you may want to use a tool like "Microsoft Network Monitor" to ...

Re: CGI Error

Hi Luis,

Chances are that something inside your environment may have changed. Did the language get updated? New patches on the machine. A new firewall on your side? If it was one of those please let us know.

Hello Allan,

Could you post your Private Label ID (do not post your key) and the id of the job that is published?
