The candidate capture tool has a "notify" field available, which is the userID of the user you want to get the email. By default, it's your unassigned user, which is a special user dedicated to resume parsing. You can login as that user to check its email.

That site, along with this forum comprise the only documentation. Take a look at the sticky threads at the top of the forum, in particular.

I took a look at the code. Try just "category" versus "categoryID".

The form creation tool generates HTML that calls the API. Take a look at the generated code.

Just as an aside, what would your ideal API look like? We are pretty set on doing the back-end in Java/Hibernate, but we have some options on how to expose it. What kind of context would you want to use it in? Options seem to be real SOAP web-services, REST and/or Java remoting. We may support more ...

Just so we are on the same page, you want an outgoing SMTP server, correct? Ie, so your website can send mail and have it go out through a server that Bullhorn hosts. We have our own SMTP servers, obviously. But we have never exposed them to direct client access via SMTP. Typically we would suggest ...

1. Making a job response into a submission, and/or setting the status to "rejected". Job responses and submissions are the same record type in Bullhorn, with the difference being the status. However, the Job Application API always inserts the status as "New Lead", which makes it a job response. Ther...

We don't have an ETA for the new APIs, as of yet. I can tell you that we have something working in house, but it's far from complete.

I would use the existing APIs for sure.

I took a loot at the CF code. The update for date fields does not get executed unless what you're passing in is a valid date. The API does not provide a way to delete a value or pass a NULL/blank value.

It looks like the format check is always run against a date field, whether it's a ADD or UPDATE operation. There is no way to delete date fields via the current API.

I was able to use the test page successfully using your PLID (2203) and your API key. Here is what I did: 1. Go to http://www.bullhornstaffing.com/BullhornStaffing/API/ParseResumeTest.cfm 2. Enter PLID and API key. 3. Copy and paste the entire file http://www.bullhorn.com/BullhornPageContent/3140/Sa...

I took a look at the code behind this. It seems that there is logic for inserting and updating records, but not deleting them. It's not implemented currently.

I would recommend that you post it on Bullhorn Brainstorm. If it's something you need developed, I would escalate via your account rep.

That error is caused by the resume parser itself. The usual cause is that it doesn't recognize the file as a resume. To determine if that is the case, I would try a few resume .DOC files. You could also double-check a file by seeing if it parses inside Bullhorn itself. Assuming that you have a known...
