Re: Problems using webservices 2.0

Hello Blue,

You are correct in your assumption - the distinct property works like the sql distinct keyword. It will cause the query operation to return a list of unique ids.

Thanks,

Re: Merge candidates from API?

Hello Michael,

Currently, there is no way to perform a merge operation via the APIs. This action can be performed in the application and events will be generated for the action.

Thanks,

Re: List of U.S. States

Hello cd, There is no easy way to retrieve a list of states from the API (besides pulling all candidates and compiling a list of the states they belong to, but that would not contain all states). Can you provide details on the workflow that you are trying to code for? We might be able to find a solu...

Re: Error in deserializing body of reply message for operation

Hello Mw,

I did see some odd characters for the description field, however I was unable to reproduce the issue so I could not validate whether or not the removal of the characters addressed the issue. Can you re-test for this candidate?

Thank you,

Re: Latency when adding Candidates via API 2.0

Hello Cd, Can you answer the following questions? These will allow me to investigate the issue. Can you provide your corporationId? Can you clarify what you mean by observe? What action are you taking to do this? Can you provide an example candidate with the time you added it, and when you observed ...

Re: Getting SOAP fault error when updating Candidate

Hello pjjeevan, You are missing an underscore, it should be as follows. Also, the error that you are seeing is from within a catch statement - so, assuming you execute the rest of the code in the same fashion, you will hit another error. Please provide all of your code along with the exception if yo...

Re: Problems using webservices 2.0

Hello blue, You need to include a distinct property in the query. If you open the dtoQuery namespace in a browser (the path can be found in the WSDL: https://api.bullhornstaffing.com/webservices-2.0/?xsd=8), you can see the parameters that are required. I was able to execute a successful query with ...

Re: VB.Net Complie Time Errors - Please Help

Hello JFarmer, A disclaimer - I have not used VB.NET before, so please excuse any mistakes (you might have better luck in a VB.NET forum). For the Find and Query issue that you are seeing... it looks like you are invoking static methods on the bhApi class - I believe you should be invoking these met...

Re: Creating a new JobSubmission

Hello Chris, Sorry for the delay... this was a tricky one. You are making submissions with the jobSubmission isDeleted property set to true (that is why you can't see it). This line is the issue: $thisSubmission->isDeleted = 'false'; The string false when converted to a boolean in PHP equals true. S...

Re: Creating a new JobSubmission

Hello Chris,

Looking again at the job, I see that it was soft deleted at "9/5/11 7:40 AM". Can you try a submission for a job that is not deleted?

Re: Creating a new JobSubmission

Hi Chris, It looks like the candidate already applied for this job at 9/5/2011 2:34:00 PM (found this by looking on the activity tab of the jobOrder) - not sure if that is the issue or not though. Can you provide the response SOAP envelope that you are receiving when you save the job submission? Tha...
