Recruiter E-Mail Notification

Have a question about Bullhorn's HTTP based APIs? You've found the right place.

API Update [posted on December 13, 2012]:

This version of the Bullhorn APIs should no longer be used.

All new work should be done using Bullhorn's REST or Web Services APIs. For more information please visit: http://developer.bullhorn.com/documentation

Bullhorn REST API provides a simpler and faster way for developers to build applications that interact with the Bullhorn platform and is used by Bullhorn Inc. to develop features of the Bullhorn ATS/CRM application.

Of the BullhornSTAFFING HTTP API interfaces listed below, our analysis shows that the following are most commonly used by developers:

Resume Parsing API
Published Job Data (XML)
The interface to these will continue to work as is because Bullhorn will replace the back end to use REST API. The URLs for these 2 specific APIs may change in the 2nd half of 2013; developers may require to update their applications to use the new URLs.

Recruiter E-Mail Notification

Post by msalmeron » Tue May 24, 2011 12:42 pm

Good Afternoon,

Please forgive me if this is a duplicate but I submitted a new topic and it has dissappeared...

The question is regarding setting up recruiter e-mail notifications when a candidate responds to a job on our corporate job board (www.ifgpr.ca). Since we are not using the Career Portal, the "Published Contact Info" field is not creating this e-mail notification.

So, how do we set this up using our current Legacy API?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Miriam,

When your site adds a JobResponse (Submission) entity, you can pass in a field called "Notify" which will send a notification email to an internal user. You will need to pass in that internal user's USERID for this to function.

Muchas gracias Andrew,

Forgive my ignorance but I do not see this field "Notify" in the Field Mappings.

Do we put in a request to add this JobResponse (Submission) entity?

Thank you,

Miriam,

This is not a field in the application, this is a variable that you would pass in via the API only.

Issue Regarding "onsite" field using the Bullhorn API

Good Morning Andrew,

We are still experiencing issues regarding pulling a specific field from our Bullhorn API account. We have been instructed by your staff that we should be able to pull a field called "onsite". However when we use the Bullhorn Published Job Data tool (http://www.bullhornstaffing.com/Bullhor ... MLTest.cfm), it does not return any fields called "onsite". We require this field to be made available for the web developers to be able to post to the website. Please provide us with direction so as to retrieve this data. Thank you in advance for your help.

Miriam,

That label will be the display value for the field, the actual field name (which is how the API marks the field) is most likely called something like "CustomText12" or another field that has been repurposed.

All of these fields are available via the webservice API suite, but many are not via the the Legacy pages, including the one that you mention. We cannot make adjustments to the legacy pages as all development has been shifted to the webservice tools.

Thanks Andrew,

Can webservice tools add this field for us?

Miriam,

All standard fields are fully accessible via the webservice APIs.

Hi Andrew,

So do we put a request in via Bullhorn Customer Support?

Miriam,

I am not sure what you are asking.

The URL that you reference is a legacy API page, if a field is not present in this data, we cannot change the returned fields for this page.

The webservice APIs will have access to this field, so to make use of this field, you will need to switch your site to integrate with our webservice APIs instread.

You can find documentation on the new APIs here: http://developer.bullhorn.com/doc/
