Career Portal

Have a question about Bullhorn's HTTP based APIs? You've found the right place.

API Update [posted on December 13, 2012]:

This version of the Bullhorn APIs should no longer be used.

All new work should be done using Bullhorn's REST or Web Services APIs. For more information please visit: http://developer.bullhorn.com/documentation

Bullhorn REST API provides a simpler and faster way for developers to build applications that interact with the Bullhorn platform and is used by Bullhorn Inc. to develop features of the Bullhorn ATS/CRM application.

Of the BullhornSTAFFING HTTP API interfaces listed below, our analysis shows that the following are most commonly used by developers:

Resume Parsing API
Published Job Data (XML)
The interface to these will continue to work as is because Bullhorn will replace the back end to use REST API. The URLs for these 2 specific APIs may change in the 2nd half of 2013; developers may require to update their applications to use the new URLs.

Career Portal

What is the Career Portal?

Bullhorn's configurable career portal gives candidates access to your published jobs from your web site.

Note: Bullhorn Career Portal is NOT part of the API. Questions about this feature should be posted in the User support forums, or emailed to support@bullhorn.com. It is discussed here because it's common for clients to embark on a Bullhorn API project without realizing that this feature exists.

Who uses Career Portal?

Only candidates may use this portal. Clients cannot view, add, or change their jobs or submissions via the portal.

What can candidates do on Career Portal?

Candidates have access to:

Create their profile by uploading their resume (optional) or by entering their name and contact information. Once saved, the candidate's record is created in Bullhorn. What is parsed? The application attempts to parse the candidate's first name, last name, address, city, state, zip code, primary email, home, work, mobile phone, and current title. If the candidate's email address is already in Bullhorn, the application prevents them from creating a new profile.

Log into their account and modify specific information in their profile, apply to jobs, and email jobs to friends. When a candidate applies to a job, the web response is logged against the job and an email is sent to the user identified on the job. If the candidate applies to the same job several times only one web response is logged, however, a note is added for each additional post.

Search for jobs by category, location, and keywords (creation of profile not required).

What can be configured on the Career Portal?

Header and footer text and images.

Criteria candidates can use to search for jobs: categories, location, keyword.

Whether jobs appear in List or Expanded Summary view.

Which of the following job criteria appears: city, location, salary, job type, date posted.

Whether or not to display the Equal Opportunity Information fields for the candidate to complete when creating a profile. By default, these fields are not required.

Text in the Equal Opportunity Information section.

Hi There,

This link http://public.bullhornstaffing.com/jobb ... abelid=683

doesn't work when you try to "view profile"

Anyone know why?

Also, can you embed the career portal in a Frame into our website? So that you don't lose the main site's top menu bar?

Thaqnks for your help,

Jason. Thornhvac 01158714777

Hi there,

1. What is the development road map for the career portal?

2. Has more functionality been added since cseibert post on the Career Portal on Mon Apr 16, 2007 4:01 pm ?

Thanks

Jason.
