Password changes

Post by max_max_mir » Fri May 08, 2015 12:49 am

Hi Bullhorn Admins,

I am currently using my clients account to access Bullhorn's data, but since the password needs to be changed every 60 days, this requires a password change to the automated system as well. Is there a workaround to this (like a system account where the password doesn't have to change)?

Regards,
- Y

Hi Y,

The check on password age only occurs when logging directly into the Bullhorn application. We always advise avoiding logging directly into Bullhorn using API user credentials to avoid this issue from occurring.

So, you can avoid this by not using the API user account to access Bullhorn directly.

If the account is needed for direct access, you will need to make sure you have processes in place to make sure applications using those credentials to authenticate API sessions are updated in line with any changes to the account's password.
