getting below error:
{
"errorCode" : 403,
"errorMessage" : "Feature 'bhInternalApi' not enabled."
}

is this related to security issue? Please help me asap. :(

Thank you in advance

Hi ashishM,

I believe this is a permissions issue where your API user is not entitled to see private distribution lists.

If I perform the same URL query on one of my test systems with someone with full entitlements they do not return a bhInternalApi not enabled error message, but instead return the relevant data.

Could you please provide me the API username you are using and I will check the entitlements on my end.

Kind regards,

Thank you Simon.
But If this is API Permission issue then can you please tell me how to give the permission to my web API user? We have a admin user but I am not able to find any security role console for admin to give the permission to my Api user.

Hi ashishM,

I am going to assume you are a developer working on behalf of a Client, so my terminology and wording is going to be aimed for that situation. If this is not the case please do not take offense at my use of language/assumptions.

So the limitations of your API user are set by the Bullhorn Support team/usertype on creation of the user. We have default permissions we allow for all of our API users, however for private settings these quite often need to be requested by the Client to our Support team (you are unable to change these, and neither is an admin user).

This is why I would need your API username (not password) so I can check the level of security they have and amend it if necessary. For me to amend this I would need to connect with an Account/Support Contact from your Client to get written authorisation this is okay.

To be most in line with our process (and not have to post a username publicly) it would be best if your Client's Account Contact logs a ticket with the Support team on your behalf requesting we make sure your API user has full access, providing the example URLs like you have to myself as well as the problems you are facing.

We can then communicate in a more private setting so that no spurious information is shared.

I hope this makes sense and is agreeable with yourself.

Kind regards,

Simon O'Keeffe
