Vacancy via REST API - 02418592

Post by DaveNorthCreek » Mon Jan 30, 2017 4:03 pm

Hello!

I am looking into a new set of requirements for integrating with Bullhorn, and in my research (talking to actual users, not reading documentation) I came across the concept of a Vacancy.

Wary of my suspect memory, I searched my trusty PDF of the REST API guide, and lo and behold, there is no such entity mentioned in that document.

Is there some way of querying for this mythical beast, the "Vacancy", through the API? Or is it a mere disguise for a more pedestrian entity, such as an "Opportunity", but with some internal flag set?

Thanks for all your wisdom!

Hey Dave,

I'm Dan with Bullhorn Support and I'll be assisting you on this issue.

Typically, Vacancies are what some of our clients call JobOrders; we don't have an entity specifically for them but it is what they have relabeled them as inside the Bullhorn UI.

In this case, I would ask them to clarify, but this is probably what they mean.

Warm regards,
Dan

Perfect, that is what I was looking for.

Of course, I will confirm with clients. :-) Nothing like shipping a feature that doesn't work...

Thanks,
Dave
