Can a Bullhorn user of one corporation_id log in with a REST OAuth client_id and client_secret for another corporation with a different corporation_id?

Hello anarayanm,

Technically yes, but we do not suggest or advice that. Every corp should use it's own client ID / secret.

Let me know if yo have any other questions.

Greg,

Why is it not suggested or advised to do this?

We are upgrading our system to move to the REST API from the SOAP API since it is deprecated. Our users will do an OAuth log in using our client_id and client_secret and will then do REST operations on their own corporation data. Is this potentially something that wouldn't work in the future or may have limitations in capabilities or access?

Thank you,
Eamon

If multiple corps are using the same REST client id and secret it limits the ability to identify who (which client) is causing an issue if one is being caused by a session generated by that REST client id and secret.
