How to know if multipleAssigneesAndContactsOnTasks corporation setting is enabled?

Post by mahadev » Wed Jul 17, 2019 3:29 am

Hi Team ,
I saw clientContact (To-one )and clientContactReference (To -Many) in Task entity .
Refer : http://bullhorn.github.io/rest-api-docs ... .html#task
In this link ,
clientContactReferences [ To-many association] ---- Associates Tasks to multiple ClientContacts. Can only be accessed from the user interface when the multipleAssigneesAndContactsOnTasks corporation setting is enabled, in which case this field is populated instead of the clientContact field.
Both are dependency fields ? if multipleAssigneesAndContactsOnTasks is enabled only ,able to CRUD operation on clientContactReference ? how to know multipleAssigneesAndContactsOnTasks is enabled or not ? if any rest api to find this settings ?

Greetings mahadev,

The multipleAssigneesAndContactsOnTasks is a system setting assigned on our end through a Bullhorn Support ticket.

You should be able to CRUD on this field as usual.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Thanks mfinleybh for your reply . I called DELETE Api to remove ClientContactReference from Task. Its worked fine.

REFER : http://bullhorn.github.io/rest-api-docs ... ete-entity

Code: Select all

https://rest91.bullhornstaffing.com/rest-services/1s2o10/entity/Task/140724/clientContactReferences/15323
But I tried to delete all clientContactReference using Rest API . Its not working for me.

Code: Select all

https://rest91.bullhornstaffing.com/rest-services/1s2o10/entity/Task/140724/clientContactReferences/*?BhRestToken=..
Response : 400 Bad Request

Code: Select all

{
    "errorMessage": "Unknown or badly structured command: /entity/Task/140724/clientContactReferences/*.",
    "errorMessageKey": "errors.badCommand"
}
Can you check and update me .

Greetings mahadev,

It is possible that the task no longer has any ClientContactReferences?

I noticed you deleted Contact 15323 off of task 140724, then ran the call against the same task that might not have a Contact anymore.

Have you attempted the select all * against a different task with multiple ClientContactReferences?

Greetings mahadev,

As long as the only change you are making is modifying the contact Id to a select all *; this may indicate this is an unsupported command.

I'd recommend entering all of you contactIds separated by commas or to just entirely delete the Task which will fully wipe all of the fields and you can start out with a fresh one.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Greetings mahadev,

You will need to call Bullhorn Support or have another Account/Support contact that can log tickets at your company log an access request ticket for you.
