Hi,

When calling login we occasionally see a 500 error:

Code: Select all

<body><h1>HTTP Status 500 - Could not get JDBC Connection; nested exception is com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: Connection reset</h1><HR size=\\\"1\\\" noshade=\\\"noshade\\\"><p><b>type</b> Exception report</p><p><b>message</b> <u>Could not get JDBC Connection; nested exception is com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: Connection reset</u></p><p><b>description</b> <u>The server encountered an internal error that prevented it from fulfilling this request.</u></p><p><b>exception</b> <pre>javax.servlet.ServletException: Could not get JDBC Connection; nested exception is com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: Connection reset\\n\\tcom.intergral.fusionreactor.j2ee.filterchain.WrappedFilterChain ....
I can provide the rest of the stack trace if needed.

Are we causing this? Is there a recommended retry we should perform?

Thanks

Greetings connectorsTray,

The 500 error is representative of a failed connection, and is most likely only related to your code if you are seeing continual failures to authenticate. In terms of a recommended retry, Bullhorn does not provide retry code as every environment is different enough to cause endless troubleshooting problems were we to do so.

With that said, if you were to search for this error in the forums, you may find code provided by other API users to fit your need. As always, if you do use secondary code, ensure that you use the proper due diligence with your data.
