CandidateReferenceQuestion ID Returns odd numbers

Post by aperlstein » Mon Jul 11, 2011 2:16 pm

When I retrieve the responses association of a CandidateReference, I take that array of IDs and then retrieve the CandidateReferenceResponse entities individually. This seems to work normally. However, the field QuestionID of the CandidateReferenceResponse entity always returns 1 or 2. I try to retrieve the CandidateReferenceQuestion associated with ID 1 or 2 and it always returns a null DTO.

Examples:
Lookup References for Candidate ID 12611, Response: Reference 0 ID-2728
Lookup Response Entities for Reference 2728, Response:

Response 1503: , Q-ID: 1
Response 18633: , Q-ID: 1
Response 35763: , Q-ID: 1
Response 52893: , Q-ID: 1
Response 70023: , Q-ID: 1
Response 87153: , Q-ID: 1
Response 104283: , Q-ID: 1
Response 121413: , Q-ID: 1
Response 138543: , Q-ID: 1
Response 155673: , Q-ID: 1

Any ideas?

Hello aperlstein,

Just to confirm, the issues that you are concerned with are as follows, correct?

- only 2 CandidateReferenceQuestions appear in candidateReferenceResponses
- a null dto is returned when executing the find operation for either of the Questions with the ID of 1 or 2

For the first question, it is quite possible that your company only asks two separate questions and so the fact that only questions with an ID of 1 or 2 are returned can be expected behavior. Can you provide your corporation ID so that I can look at the data and this issue further?

For the second question, can you provide more details around the operation that you are calling and how you are calling it? There should be no null dto returned if the information supplied is valid.

Let me know if anything is not clear or if you have any other questions.

Thanks,

Nevermind, I found a different way to do what I needed while waiting for your response.
