2.0 API - Updating specialties

Post by davidh » Tue Aug 09, 2011 6:54 am

Hi,

I recently upgraded our web application from using the 1.1 API to use the 2.0 API. We have a range of integration tests to check that everything is working as it should, and after the upgrade one of the tests that registers a candidate is now failing.

The point where it fails is when adding specialties to the candidate. This is a call to "associateMultiple", the IDs it passes are a mix of categories and specialties, maybe this could be the problem?

The test passes when I remove the specialty IDs from the list and only have category IDs.

The error I see from the response is "Error while commiting the transaction".

Is there any known changes from 1.1 to 2.0 with this part of the API?

Thanks,
David

Hello David,

Sorry for the delay. I spoke with our product manager and they did change functionality by separating the categories and specialties. You should get all functionality with either one, but you will need to treat them as distinct entities. Please let me know if anything is not clear or if you have any questions.

Thanks,
