CorporateUser department

Is there a field that stores information on a corporate user's department? How would I access this through the API?

I've having the same issue. It doesn't appear that there is an association that will work for finding out the department id.

Hi wolfec,

If you're looking for information about the department, you can just run the find or findMultiple operation against the CorporationDepartment entity for a specified ID or list of IDs.

If you do not have the department ID, you can run getUserPrimaryDepartmentId or getUserDepartmentIds to obtain them. However, note that these operations require a CorporateUser ID. You might need to get in touch with your client to figure out what users belong to what departments. If you have a list of all your clients users, you can obtain the IDs and then run getUserDepartmentIds against each one.

There will likely be some overlap, but once you've done that you'll have the full list of department IDs for your clients, which you can then use the find and/or findMultiple to obtain the actual information for that department. Otherwise, your client can submit a ticket to technical support and our analysts can assist them with getting a list of their department IDs.
