Web Response, JobSubmission source

Post by wtm » Tue Mar 12, 2013 2:10 pm

Hello,

I can successfully create a JobSubmission, but even though a send a different value for the source property, it always appears as the same in the bullhorn backend.

How can I send a different source for the JobSubmission, or where do I see that value in the backend (http://bullhornstaffing.com/)

thanks.

Here is my main function for creating the JobSubmission

Code: Select all

public function createJobSubmission($candidateID, $jobOrderID, $source, $status) {
	$request_array = new stdClass();
	$request_array->candidateID = $candidateID;
	$request_array->jobOrderID = $jobOrderID;
	$request_array->sendingUserID = $this->getUserId();
	$request_array->isDeleted = 0;
	$request_array->source = $source;
	$request_array->status = $status;

	$request_array = array(
		"session"	=> $this->sessKey,
		"dto" => new SoapVar( $request_array, SOAP_ENC_OBJECT, "jobSubmissionDto", "http://job.entity.bullhorn.com/" )
	);

	$request = new SoapVar(
		$request_array, SOAP_ENC_OBJECT, "save", "http://save.apiservice.bullhorn.com/"
	);

	try {
		$result = $this->client->save( $request );
		$this->sessKey = $result->return->session;
	}
	catch( SoapFault $e ) {
		$this->makeException($e);
		return false;
	}

	return $result->return;
}
Is the source and other data for the JobSubmission correctly sent?

Good Morning WTM,

I have to be honest, I am not completely familiar with PHP. However, I did run some tests on my end, and was able to successfully insert data and update the Job Submission source field, so it can be done.

With that in mind, would you be able to give us a Print R view of the request before saving?

even though this is an old topic I wanted to reply.

the "source" field showing on the jobsubmissions section in the bullhorn application are not part of the "jobsubmission" object but the source of the candidate object.

Good Afternoon tyhrstan,

Thank you for the updated sourcing information.

In the future, please open a new thread as opposed to responding to a post from 2013. It is very likely that the technology being referenced in a five year old post has been updated at some point.
