Lead entity in WebServices API

Post by max_max_mir » Tue Jul 28, 2015 7:01 pm

Hello,

How do I download data for entity Lead using the WebServices API? When I issue a query with Lead as the entity name, I get the error "Unknown entity: Lead"

Good Afternoon max_max_mir,

Leads are not currently supported within the Webservices API package. My suggestion would be to use the newer REST APIs for Leads and Opportunities as I can give no timeframe for when these packages may be offered within the Webservices suite.

Is WebServices API being sunset? If not, why would an entity be supported on one API and not on the other? It's not easy to switch from one to the other just for one entity. If WebServices API will not be supported anymore, this should be made clear.
