Wordpress integration

Postby tedi » Tue Mar 29, 2011 5:25 pm

Hi all,

New to the forums. Great product from what I can see.

My client would like to integrate Bullhorn into a Wordpress site. Are there any guides out there that would help walk me through this? I have searched all over google and these boards and have not found of any successful integrations of the two. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you!

Tedi

Hello Tedi,

I am not aware of any guides that will integrate Bullhorn with a WordPress site. From what I have read, it looks like WordPress is a robust and extendable CMS so, you should be able to create a solution that integrates the two. Can you provide more details around the operations and functionality that you are looking for? I will then be able to provide feedback on the items from Bullhorn's perspective. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you,

Hi Jon,

We just need to insert the job listings on a page, view the job itself, and be able to search available jobs without leaving the site.

Your help is much appreciated.

Hello Tedi,

Bullhorn APIs do provide that functionality. The workflow with the method calls would be similar to the following:

Create a session by calling the startSession method passing in the APIKey, Username and password.
Use the query method to pull JobIDs for the jobs that meet a specific criteria.
Use the findMultiple method to pull back the actual job data.

More information on these methods and other functionality can be found in the following urls:
http://developer.bullhorn.com/
http://developer.bullhorn.com/doc/version_1-1/

Please let me know if you have any questions or if anything is not clear.

Thanks,

Hello,
I have the same issue. I am working on a wordpress website where I have to integrate Bullhorn for the 2 pages.
1. Submit Resume: In this page there is a custom form and a browse button like any other job site submit resume page.
2. Search Job: In this page there is a drop down list for the job category and a keyword field.
I need to make working these 2 pages with Bullhorn. I have the login credentials of the Bullhorn API. Can you please tell me the exact procedure to do the same. In your last reply you said to call a session. But I am very much novish in Bullhorn API so it is not clear to me. I have gone through the http://developer.bullhorn.com/doc/version_1-1/ but in vain. Actually my main concern is that how to integrate my custom form (with custom look) with the API and how to fetch data at the time of job search.

I am waiting for your respond as I need to finish the job listing integration fast.

Thanks,
Sanjay

Hello Sanjay,

I would review the articles and samples located on the Bullhorn developer web site (http://developer.bullhorn.com/articles). This will provide some examples on how to interact with Bullhorn via web services. After you have done this, please feel free to post specific questions about issues that you are seeing and questions that you may have.

Thank you,

Hello,
Thanks for your reply. I have gone through the article http://developer.bullhorn.com/articles. I have downloaded a sample code namely 'Getting_Started_PHP_final_0.zip'. This sample code uses SOAP client. When I tries to check the code in my local xampp server I get the following error:

Warning: SoapClient::SoapClient() [soapclient.soapclient]: I/O warning : failed to load external entity "https://api.bullhornstaffing.com/webservices-1.1/?wsdl" in C:\xampp\htdocs\sandbox\bullhorn\GettingStartedWtihWebServices_Solution.php on line 15

Fatal error: Uncaught SoapFault exception: [WSDL] SOAP-ERROR: Parsing WSDL: Couldn't load from 'https://api.bullhornstaffing.com/webservices-1.1/?wsdl' : failed to load external entity "https://api.bullhornstaffing.com/webservices-1.1/?wsdl" in C:\xampp\htdocs\sandbox\bullhorn\GettingStartedWtihWebServices_Solution.php:15 Stack trace: #0 C:\xampp\htdocs\sandbox\bullhorn\GettingStartedWtihWebServices_Solution.php(15): SoapClient->SoapClient('https://api.bul...', Array) #1 {main} thrown in C:\xampp\htdocs\sandbox\bullhorn\GettingStartedWtihWebServices_Solution.php on line 15

Whereas I have already setup the API of bullhorn developer and put correct username, password and API key. In my localhost SOAP client and SOAP server is enabled.

My specific issues are as follows:
My website is developed in wordpress and it is already done. There is a page where users can upload their resumes and enter their personal data and another page where users can search jobs. Will these two sections can be integrated in wordpress environment? How to integrate SOAP client with wordpress?

Waiting for your respond.

Thanks,
Sanjay

Hello Sanjay,

The exception that you provided is stating that it cannot hit the WSDL. So, there sounds like there is a connectivity issue and your application cannot connect to the WSDL. You will need to investigate this issue on your side.

As for the wordpress integration. We do not have examples of a site integrated with word press. It is up to the developer to write the code and perform the integration work. We will be more than happy to troubleshoot and work through any issues that you may come across on the way.

I am also looking for a Bullhorn Wordpress plugin.

By looking at the 1,136 Views for this post, you would think that there are a ton of people also looking for this. Isee that the guy above is slowly developing one in his spare time but most of us need it now. Other than the API's that Bullhorn provide, can we have any hope that Bullhorn will develop their own Wordpress plugin in the near future??? I am hoping someone from Bullhorn will respond with a favorable answer for us Wordpress designers which are growing every month.

I have the same issue using Drupal. I have contacted the "Help Desk" and it seems very helpless. The only answer that I have received on the regular is to look at the documentation page or the articles and samples pages. I've looked through both at least 5 times now to no avail. Time is ticking and my client isn't happy.

Please provide us with a more clear example on how to make this work.

Thanks,

Harry

Good Morning Everyone,

Bullhorn does not currently support any direct integration with Wordpress sites. Please use the utmost due diligence with your data whenever using a third party solution not fully vetted via the Bullhorn Marketplace.
