Attachments help

Post by datamigrationhelp » Wed Dec 11, 2013 7:16 pm

Why do i have 2 folders when i extracted the attachemts rar file " UserWorkFIles" and 'UserAttachments"

How can i link all the attachments to corresponding candidates/company in database ?
For Ex UserWorkFiles can be linked to BH_UserWorkFile -->BH_work-->BH_userContact

Q1:What about the other attachmetns in UserAttachments ?
Q2:How to differentiate which are resumes and which are not ?

UserWorkFiles are files linked to candidates, contacts, jobs and placements.

The join is BH_userwork to BH_userworkfile via the userworkID. To get to the candidate/contact use the userID column. If it is linked to a job or placement, the link will be in the same table.

UserAttachments is files linked to emails.

What are resumes versus what are not is variable, we leave it up to the users to tag files at their discretion, but generally speaking the type column is used on the BH_userWork table.

To get counts, you write sql queries to count.

To determine the links, the filenames are mapped to the BH_UserworkFile table. (userWorkFileID)

Thanks you.

Final question : I see almost equal number of attachments in the SQl table ( BH_UserWorkFile ) and folder UserWorkFiles which can be linked using the filenames and userworkfileID. But How will i find the link to attachments in UserAttachments folder and SQL server table ?

How are the files in UserAttachment folder linked to the SQL back up ?

Thanks in advance for a quick response

Sure, that data is in the BH_UserMessageFile table.

Thanks :)

Is there any way to find the files in the BH_Usermessagefile table belong to which candidate ?

I am not referring to sendinguserid in BH_usermessage as its the Bullhorn-user not the actual candidate that is linked to

Yes, you need to join to the BH_messagercipient table using the usermessageID to get the recipients. There will be a row per sender and recipient in that table.

Even in that case i will get the Sender and recipient but not the actual candidate for whom the resume belongs to. Its true if the candidate send it directly but what if there is a middle vendor in between ?

In other words if there is resume belong to John K called 10786.doc in UserAttachment folder how can i find john K's UserId from tables (BH_Usermessagefile, BH_messagercipient .....)

Files that are directly linked to candidates/contacts will ONLY be in the BH_UserWork and BH_UserWorkFile tables.

The other files might be resumes, but they are files linked to emails.

Is there any way to differentiate between resumes from BH_userworkfile ?

And i see 120K candidates in bull horn and i guess almost everyone has attachments to them but in the Userworkfile table or folder i just have 60 K attachments. I want to find the missing attachments

Not all candidates will have a resume file attached.

If you want the resume text, use the description field on BH_UserContact.
