More records in BH database than on BH web

Post by bhdataq » Fri Mar 21, 2014 1:58 pm

Are there filters we need to be mindful of as we are looking at the backup data - to weed out unusable/deleted records? We have been able to identify the isDeleted field. However, even with that, we are still finding more records in the database than we do when viewing through the Web service (and clicking Total Records for each Candidate, Facility, and Client Contact).

Example: BH_Client Corporation --
A count on clientCorporationID gives more records than a total record count of Facility and Facility Archive from the Web.
There is no isDeleted field in BH_Client Corporation.
Why are there more records in BH_Client Corporation than are accessible via the website?

The ClientCorporation table does not have a isDeleted column. There is no concept of a soft deleted ClientCorporation, the appplication views a valid ClientCorporation as one having a linked Contact (BH_Client.clientcorporationID).

Almost all other entities have a soft deleted column (usually isDeleted). The status = 'Archive' also drives most list pages to filter out records where status = 'Archive'.

The ClientCorporation table does not have a isDeleted column. There is no concept of a soft deleted ClientCorporation, the appplication views a valid ClientCorporation as one having a linked Contact (BH_Client.clientcorporationID).
So it's possible that the reason for more Facility (clientcorporation) records in the database verses the web is because of linked Contacts? If a facility does not have a linked contact, it is not valid and would not be counted on in the total count on the web - but would still appear as a record in the database?
Almost all other entities have a soft deleted column (usually isDeleted). The status = 'Archive' also drives most list pages to filter out records where status = 'Archive'.
Our Bullhorn site has Facility List and Facility List Archive. I've made sure to add the total records from these two together, but it is still less than the total record count in BH_ClientCorporation.

Correct on both accounts, but if the number dont add up, send a couple ID numbers and your CorpID and I can determine the cause of the discrepancy for you.
