Re: Bullhorn Authorize is not returning auth code

Hey again, I'm sorry that this method isn't working. I would try the Postman Settings above. I just toggled this on/off and I was able to get and stop getting the location returned. There is also an alternative if that does not work for you. The Response Code 302 is definitely what we are looking fo...

Re: Bullhorn Authorize is not returning auth code

Hey again, When using Postman to execute this, it is expected to return HTML. Instead of looking at the Body, navigate to the Headers Tab in Postman. Here you should see a Location Key that starts with http://bullhorn.com - The code that is returned here is what you are looking for APICode.PNG Hope ...

Hi Deb, Welcome to the Bullhorn Rest API! https://auth.bullhornstaffing.com/oauth/authorize?client_id={Client ID}&response_type=code&username={Username}&password={Password}&action=Login This will return a URL that we can use to obtain a BH REST Token, code=. Re: Can't Edit Candidate smsOptIn

Hi again, Unfortunately, it is not on the roadmap to add to REST API. There is no concrete reasoning as to why this is possible in SOAP. The reasoning that it isn't possible in REST is due to some privacy concerns especially when opting back in. I will try to put this in as a feature request for RES...

Re: VoIP integration, Calling API

Hi there, This is Lindsay from Bullhorn Support. We do not have a VoIP Library or any pre-made functionality, only the ability to Enable the REST API that will allow you to pull the phone values for Candidate, clientContact, and clientCorporation entities. Past here, we do not have any further docum...

Re: id to load is required for loading

Hi there John, This is Lindsay from Bullhorn support. I ran some tests using SOAP and I was able to get the call to run as expected by changing the ID Field ever so slightly. <soapenv:Envelope xmlns:apis="http://apiservice.bullhorn.com/" xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmln...

Re: Can't Edit Candidate smsOptIn

Hi Jason! This is Lindsay from Bullhorn Support. The smsOptIn Field is read-only and cannot be updated via REST API. If a particular person would like to opt back in, you can have a Bullhorn Account or Support Contact create a ticket for support requesting that this person be opted back in. With thi...

Re: Where to update the assessmentUrl for Candidate evaluation

Hey there, 1a) You can use a Candidate customText Field to store temporary data. I would recommend utilizing one that is not currently in use. 2a) You would need to do this using multiple requests. You would need to first use a GET to pull the new data, then a second call to update the record as nee...

Re: How to update the categories of the candidate records using rest API

Hi Again!

Unfortunately, I cannot comment on how to preform this in C#.NET.

To update a Candidate Category using REST, you would POST against the .../entity/Candidate/ Endpoint and pass in the category and ID into the Body.

Hope this helps!

Re: Note Email Notification is not working

Hi there, If you are trying to send an email through the API, this is not currently supported. However, if you are not receiving the email after saving the record in ATS/CRM, then I would recommend that you have your Account/Support Contact create a ticket through Bullhorn Support in order to receiv...

Re: Open data default versus data tied to user

Hi there, Bullhorn has a UserType permission system in place to allow and restrict users from performing specific functions within Bullhorn. For example, if you have user XYZ and you do not want that user to be able to add or edit candidates to Bullhorn, you can restrict that access. Adding and remo...

Re: Any Rest API to send email in bullhorn ?

Hey again!

I wanted to make sure that your question is answered on both threads.

Unfortunately, there is not a way to send emails using the Bullhorn REST API.

You can only use the API to get a list of email addresses and then send it through an external client.

Have a great day!

Hey there,

Unfortunately, there is not a way to access the Email Notification Fields of any entity (including notes) using REST API.

You can only use the API to get a list of email addresses and then send it through an external client.

Hope this helps!

Re: How to update the categories of the candidate records using rest API

Hi there, To pull a list of all categories in a system you can use the below call(this is how you can obtain the category IDs): .../query/Category?where=enabled=true&fields=id,name,enabled&start=0&count=500... Here is some of our documentation on Categories and candidates: http://bullhorn.github.io/...

Re: How to get client ID and secret

Hi there,

You or a listed Account / Support Contact for your corporation will need to get in touch with Bullhorn Support to have REST credentials set up.

The authorized contact can either call the main US Support line at 617-478-9126 or can submit a ticket via the Bullhorn Resource Center.
