We need to confirm Bullhorn behavior when a new Job Submission is created. The assumption is when a new Job Submission is created in Bullhorn, Candidate.$AssessmentPackages should also get populated with the expected data (from the below), so that SHL API can read it to perform the necessary actions.
- JobOrder.$AssessmentList - Expected Data: AssessmentPackage - Description: Stores a collection of Assessments.
- Candidate.$AssessmentPackages - Expected Data: JobSubmissionId, AssessmentPackage - Description: Stores a collection of mappings between JobSubmission and Assessment Package to understand which Assessment is to be taken by the candidate for a given job[/list]
Please confirm this is the case.
I believe we need a bit of clarification. In general, saving a new submission would not impact the Assessment tab. I will review the environment to see where the crossover may be, but in standard functionality, I do not believe an assessment add would occur upon submission creation.

Here is the expected workflow for your reference.
1. New JobOrder is created in the Bullhorn
SHL API will update the JobOrder.$AssessmentList Custom Object with a list of assessments.
2. Before a JobSubmission is submitted
Expectation from Bullhorn: To render/show the list of assessments (from point 1) in a dropdown list to the user/HR/admin at the time of JobSubmission form filling, so that an appropriate test/assessment can be selected for the Candidate.
3. After a JobSubmission is submitted
Expectation from Bullhorn: The Candidate.$AssessmentPackages Custom Object needs to be populated with this JobSubmission’s Id and its selected assessment (from the point 2).
#1 is possible - once the JobOrder is created, the custom object could be modified via API.
#2 and #3 would not be possible without a paid customization by our Professional Services team to modify the submission form as it is hard-coded. A customization may also be needed to automatically populate the candidate custom object as well.
Would it be possible to instead use a text field on the JobOrder that would pull into the submission form automatically? This could then be referenced on the candidate record. However, it may not track the assessment as needed.
For more information on a customization or other options that may be possible, it would likely be best to submit a ticket to our support team since this is specific to your account/integration. That way, we can also work directly with you to determine what workflows are available to achieve your end goal.
