Searching for candidates with empty fields

Hello!

I am trying to search for candidates that have NO e-mail address or NO phone number.
But in the Search tool, I can't seem to select the option of searching only "empty field".

I could not find the answer on this forum nor anywhere on Bullhorn.

Hw do I do that ?

Greetings SLabbe,

In app, if you click on the columns for email or phone number and sort by ascending/descending you should see results pulled back with blanks in order.

Related to this, I want to filter out those candidates who have a field populated, so exclude everyone who has that field empty. I need to see how many candidates have that field filled in. Is there a way to exclude those with empty fields?

Hi Kaetlynne,

The best way to do this would be to use the Advanced Criteria Search to include any letter of the alphabet using wildcards (a* b* c*, etc). This should remove any candidates that do not have values in those fields.

how can we exclude all entries which are blank. or start or end with a value?
can we filter based of number higher/lower than a value? etc..

If you are working with email addresses, you can place an additional criteria on the search for a* then exclude this from the search, so no @ symbols are returned.

If you are working with a free text field, you can type in a*, b*, c* --> z* as separate entries to exclude these letters from being returned, thus only returning blank fields.

Some columns can be sorted - if you are working with one of these fields then you can sort ascending, which will place all the empty records at the top.

Lastly, you can export the data to a .CSV file, which you can then pull through to a spreadsheet program in order to perform further analysis if necessary.
