Healthcare integration

Post by gswartz777 »

We developed an integration with bullhorn a while back. Last week we were trying to get a new customer set up with it but when logged in to her account, rather than having a Candidate entity she had a Provider entity. After digging a bit and talking with our bullhorn rep, we were told they're on the bullhorn healthcare version and that there is no api documentation for this. So, at this point we're thinking we can't update our integration to work with that. I just wanted to throw this out here to confirm if that's the case? Thanks.

You should be able to integrate with the Healthcare Edition of Bullhorn via API. There are minor differences in the Healthcare Edition, as compared to Enterprise, Corporate, Team, etc., one of which is the fact that Candidates are labeled as Providers. You would need to review their setup in Bullhorn and make modifications based upon those differences.

But is there documentation for those differences? I mean, to get provider info, is it still the candidate endpoint returning all the same fields?

There's not official API documentation related to Healthcare Edition, yet. That information is always being updated.

If you were to review the client's field mappings, you could see what they have labeled their entities. Generally, the entity names themselves have not changed, despite the Bullhorn edition. They are labeled differently, but that doesn't change the entity names. For example, the Candidate entity is labeled "Provider," the Company entity is labeled "Facility," and the Placement entity is labeled "Assignment," typically.

Ok, so does that mean that every Healthcare user can rename their entities but under the hood the api endpoints and data are still the same?

Any Admin user can change the labels for their entities in any edition of Bullhorn, but, yes, the API endpoints are the same.
